The variable weather, the shortening days with the earlier onset of darkness, the cooler temperatures and the snow already lying at medium to higher altitudes require careful tour preparation.

The weather will remain unstable over the next few days, with further snowfall expected above 1600 meters. As the summer season of the huts is slowly coming to an end, the Tyrolean Mountain Rescue Service advises you to also consider whether the hut you want to visit is open when planning your tour.
